FXV offers training and performance services to grassroots athletes through to elite and all those in between.

What We Offer:
Testing

  • FXV  has developed an advance profiling system to improve the way New Zealand athletes are bench marked. The FXV profiling system measures and scores athletes across a wide range of elements including; speed, power, agility, endurance, movement competency, sport specific movement, mental skills, and visual ability.
  • The overall goal of FXV is to optimize athlete performance and increase athlete sporting potential by exposing individuals strengths and weaknesses. This is achieved through a standardised measurement system that allows athletes to benchmark themselves against other athletes both nationally and internationally.
  • The scoring system is presented in a way that is both informative, simple, motivating and easy for the athlete to understand.

Training

  • Personal Training – This includes both one on one and small group sessions. No matter the goal FXV will assist you in reaching them.
  • Strength and Conditioning – This is targeted at athletes who are looking to improve their performance in a given sport. This includes programming, individual sessions and long term athlete development pathway
  • Online Training – Remote coaching or touch base as required.

Steve’s background is in High Performance Sport having spent the last 7 years working as a Strength & Conditioning Coach for the New Zealand Breakers Basketball Team and 5 years with High Performance Sport NZ working across multiple campaigns including 4 x world championships, 1 x Olympics, 1 x commonwealth games sports including; Swimming, Taekwondo, Paralympic, Hockey, Basketball, Cycling, Athletics and Yachting.

  • Bachelor of Sport and Recreation; Double major in Exercise Science and Coaching
  • Post Graduate papers completed in Sport & Exercise Science
